Welcome Annear and Lemon family researchers ! I have some good news! For all of you who are researching the families of Annear and Lemon, I want to give you some news about the book, 'Looking Up The Lemon Tree'. I have just added a section that includes the Annear families who emigrated from Cornwall, England to Australia. This has been a monumental task, since Australian records are not as easily accessed as the records of the Annears from Cornwall. As many of you who have researched the Annears may have discovered, they were continually naming their children after their fathers, grandfathers and brothers in each generation; usually naming them John, Richard, David or William. To complicate matters even more, some married cousins who married wives with the same given name. I believe I have found enough evidence to prove the lineage of the Australian Annear families that I have included in the 17 page section I've added called, 'Annears in Australia'.
And for the researchers of Captain Benjamin Fox (father of Sarah Fox who married Robert Lemon, the patriarch of our Lemon family), I also have some good news. After 10 years of research, I have made a major breakthrough. I have found sources of his parentage, place and date of birth, plus his date of death. I have been working frantically hoping to have the book available before Christmas and I am told the updated version is now ready. I thought this would be an ideal gift to give to family members to keep for future generations. It is easy to order online at Amazon.com and it's reasonably priced. U.S. residents should order soon to hopefully receive it before Christmas. Amazon usually gives you the date that you can expect to receive the book. Here are the individual Amazon links for U.S., Canadian, and U.K. residents:
